“If your plan is for one year plant rice. If your plan is for ten years plant trees. If your plan is for one hundred years educate children. ”
With these very thoughts a group of persons who were finding ways, means and methods to repay the society that had created, supported and built them collectively founded a trust named KPS Educational Trust. They held on to what Confucius had declared centuries ago. Dreaming of a Golden Future for the children of the land they ushered a new beginning by establishing G D Goenka Public School, Agra under the aegis of G D Goenka Group.
From the inception of the school we are on a continuous journey to improve our standards, train our minds for effective teaching and more than ever trying for a partnership in transforming the children’s life for better. It has been, is and will be our endeavour to give the best possible opportunity to your ward to know, learn, understand and practice the better things of life. In this journey of ours your support and encouragement is of utmost value.
It is our duty and responsibility to make sure that our children grow strong wings in pursuit of their dreams. As they grow their wings it is necessary to become wind beneath their wings to give them the push to fly in the high sky. The quality time spent together with our wards immensely will build confidence and character.
Our sole aim is to create an atmosphere where children have ample learning experiences and the learning based on the four pillars of learning.
The four pillars of learning are fundamental principles for reshaping education:
In this effort of ours we need your continuous support, constructive criticism and positive collaboration. Together we can make a difference.
- Learning to know: to provide the cognitive tools required to better comprehend the world and its complexities, and to provide an appropriate and adequate foundation for future learning.
- Learning to do: to provide the skills that would enable individuals to effectively participate in the global economy and society.
- Learning to be: to provide self analytical and social skills to enable individuals to develop to their fullest potential psycho-socially, affectively as well as physically, for an all-round, complete personality.
- Learning to live together: to expose individuals to the values implicit within human rights, democratic principles, intercultural understanding and respect and peace at all levels of society and human relationships to enable individuals and societies to live in peace and harmony.
